Ok, I'm putting together a small quilt top. I'm pressing my pieces, and while I'm pressing, I remind myself in my head, in a deep "darth-vader" voice: "Always press to the dark side."

My 14-year old son, who has sneaked up behind me says very slowly, "Mom, are you alright?" Evidently, I don't just mentally remind myself... I say it as I'm doing it.

Yikes, another "mom's going nuts" moment.

I talk to myself all the time. I teach myself that way.

Well, that's just a guideline. Every once in while, the pattern will go together easier when you don't follow the dark side. In that case, remember the squeaky0voiced little lady from Poltergeist? "Press to the light"

Your son will think you're bonkers for sure. lol

I talk to myself too. It just keeps the kids guessing. It's good for them.

I talk to myself too. Hubby can hear me from two rooms away. I guess I am not very quiet.
