Oh I forgot to add this in the first post I made. They do not make the decals for the machine, I made my own and have several designs both out of the factory gold color and 22kt gold leaf.

I am going to my attic and see if I can find them and if I can I will post them for sale in the proper forum. That way those who want to refurbish their machines can redecal them.

But you should be able to find the belt, bobbins and the needles at your local sewing repair shop. If not hit eBay.

you can clean & refurbish this yourself. have fun with it. decals like the originals can not be replaced. I am curious about the ones posted. you would have to then clear coat the whole machine to protect the decals. this is probably a red-eye, enjoy what decals that are left & just think of it as a well-used past. there all kinds of help sites on internet. gojo (without pumice) is great! enjoy !

Pics would be great but then I would be green with envy. Will it become yours or stay with your folks?

OK, I came home from the auction with BOTH sewing machines.. How can you leave them there when they go for so little. I got a Red Eye Treadle for $20. and a Little Black portable electric for $12. The serial number on the little black one is A31C3227 I didnt find any with double letters in the online list. Anyone know how to look this one up? It is not a full size, more like a 3/4 size machine. and there is no foot pedal nor any place to plug one in that I can see. It has a dome or bent wood top. And underneath the machine I found 6 thimble. One gold, two silver and the rest regular steel.

Any info on the weird serial number would be appreciated.

Well, the treadle is still in the back seat of my car.. Need help getting it inside. My son's eyes just roll back in his head every time he sees me drive up with yet another treadle machine in my car. I just realized that, even with 6 treadles, this is the first SINGER treadle that I have...Ill take pics of the little black one, but its not really a show piece, it has a dull black finish instead of the shiny black and no decals, just the Singer name. But it was so cute and the thimbles are worth way more than the machine.. Nothing like buying a machine for under $12 and getting $50 worth of thimbles in the deal...LOL

I love it when we have a post like this! Billy and Charlee pop out of the woodwork and hop into action. Truly, I love it.

I collect then. Have 4. I didn't know there was a site to get info on machines. I'll have to check it out. Thanks
