day of horrors

Even with your frustrations you seem committed to keep going and not to let it become a UFO hidden deep in your closet. Good for you. It just might turn out to be a favorite of yours because of the struggles.

That reminds me of a time when I was working on a large diamond for diamond log cabin star quilt. I couldn't get anything to work and the measurements were off, etc. Just threw it on top of a pile of fabric worked on another and went to bed. Unresolved issues bug me so I picked it up the next day and it was all perfect. Guess I was tired and couldn't even read a ruler right. A good night's sleep cures lots of ills.

I had a bad day too. I made a wallhanging to test out a pattern for a king size quilt. I was sandwiching it and noticed in my haste that I did not square up the blocks. The contrasting border makes it very obvious that it's out of square. Oh well!

I qayg the front and the batting as I didn't have a backing at the time, I know I like to complicate things for myself, finished and its posted on pictures. This was my first time qayg and I did it beacuse I was sewing circles. I'll probably layer sandwich and quilt in the trad manner in future.
