Walmart on Woodruff RD. and the one in Simpsonville,SC are getting their fabric dept back. The one in Simpsonville has all of their precuts marked down to 75% off now. I am a happy camper !!!!!

I heard (from this board) that most or all of the Walmarts are supposed to get the fabric departments back. I have 2 Walmarts in my town and the older one has always had a fabric department. We also have JoAnns and Hobby Lobby. I get most of my stuff @ JoAnns because of their awesome coupons.

I sent several emails to Wal Mart since our fabric dept went to only precuts. They responded a few weeks ago that fabric would be back as yard goods by Sept 2011. Yesterday I stopped by and they were placing the precuts in the garden center. Said they are making a place for the new yard goods!!! Workers are concerned there are not many workers after 5pm so they aren't sure even if fabric is there we will find anyone to cut the fabric.
I am wondering how they could make it self serve???? If we figured that out and gave them the suggestion maybe we would all get the fabric back.
So happy you gals are getting the fabric dept. back.
I did get fat quarters for $.75 each. Nothing else was marked down.

Frankfort Ky has started the process also. It's going to be smaller than before, but hey, it's here.

Wonderful news!! The 1 closest to me hasn't brought back bolts.
The 1 20 mi away used to have lots with bolts but last time I was there it was much, much smaller... Dissappointed...

Sure hope our store gets fabric again. I heard that they are planning another "remodel," so hopefully the fabric department will be back here too.
