How long ago was the fabric for your prize winner purchased? I too purchased some fabric from Walmart in the past. I'm just saying that the fabric that is now arriving in the stores is of very poor quality. There's no comparison to what they sold in the past.

Well that certainly gives me hope! These days it's nice to pay only 5-6 dollars a yard instead of 9-10 dollars!

I wish I lived in Dayton, TN!!!! I miss Walmart fabrics for everything, sewing, quilting, etc. Such a mistake they have made. Tried complaining to the corporate office and got a generic message back. It was obviously the same message that they sent to anyone who complained.

My daughter and I were at the Avon, Indiana store this morning and they have just got fabric back. Not a huge amount but they have room for more. They also had patterns and notions. They were still in the process of putting things out. I was very excited to see it!

Our WM has a "great craft section" so they don't feel the need to bring back fabrice. :-( That was the answer I recieved after sending them an e-mail. Mind you not that many people are in the craft section (no fabric not even pre-cuts) but home office thinks it is really great. UG We have loads of quilters in this town that would love to see the fabric back.

We lost our fabric dept too. THEN one day everything was disorganized again. I asked and they said the TOP 50 stores were getting their fabric dept back. Guess we are Walmart supporting fools. Anyway, it is back, if that is what you want to call it. Not near as large. Back... what a joke. Our embroidery thread disappeared first. The clerk told me that management figures profit by "square inch".
