The workers in the Dayton, TN Walmart were clearing the racks of the precuts last week, I asked what was happening and she told me that they are "remodeling" (again?) and they are getting back fabric, cutting table and all. Should be sometime the first couple of weeks of August!

I certainly hope that happens here in Ma. I miss buying fabric in WalMart. The only fabric to buy is in JoAnn's

We have 2 Walmarts just minutes apart here. One kept the fabric dept. and the other didn't. The other one hardly has anything at all. It doesn't have pre-cuts or anything. We stopped in to look for DD some yarn, and they barely had a 1/4 of a row of picked over yarn. It is sad because this store had an awesome fabric dept. at one time.

The Walmart that is 5 miles from me brought back yarn and fabric department that is 1/4 it's former size. The fabric on the bolts is very poor fabric....wouldn't even consider it for backing. It is the quality of color stamped on poor grade muslin. I think after the sizing is washed out it would be like gauze. I just can't waste my time on such junk and my heart goes out to anyone who doesn't have access to anything else.

I just watched our fabric department disappearing at Walmart on the south side of St. Pete FL. They now moved the shoes over. So sad.

I called our Wal-Mart here in Dyersburg, Tn the other week and the lady told me they were to be "remodeling" in February and they would be bringing it back then. It hasn't had fabric since before we moved here in September 2009. I can't wait 'til I can shop for fabric only 8 miles from home! The next closest Wal-Mart is 30 miles away and as far as I know never lost its' fabric. I keep hearing that ALL the stores are bringing back fabric - I sure hope that's true.
