My sewing room is only 9x11 and I have a lot of stuff in there, but I can still quilt a king size on my DSM. My machine is set down in a 20"x48" desk. When I'm quilting, I put a 4' folding table behind it, and pull out the drawer to my left to help support the weight of the big quilt. With your computer program, you don't need to lay out all the blocks. You can just work from the layout on your screen. I've never done any QAYG, but have made quite a few King and queen sized quilts in my little room. You can do it if you set your mind to it.
