    I remember my dad fitting a new machine in an older cabinet he refinished many years ago for my mother. A lot depends on hinge placement on the machines and whether or not the new machine is bigger than the cabinet's opening.
    If either of those measurements are wrong, it would require extensive modifications to the top of the cabinet and can get ugly in a hurry.

    I think I have that same cabinet. It would take my husband months of nagging to get that done. LOL

    Don't we just love the handy men in our life. Mine made a new top and my Bernina fits snug. It is so much better sewing with the sewing machine in a cabinet !!
