Default Dear Jane Software "this fabric is already in the sketchbook"

I'm at my wit's end. I just cannot add some fabric to my project. I have successfully added 30+ fabrics, but sometimes I get an error message "this fabric is already in the sketchbook" when it is not -- or at least I cannot find it.

    Any suggestions? Thank you!

Some fabrics that are in the libraries are also in the sketchbook that automatically opens when you start a new project. Could it be that is why you are getting the message?

Thank you Dunster, but I don't think so. I'm importing then copying Kaffe fabrics into the project
    .

Since it is an EQ software, maybe you could try listing the steps you are taking in the 'sticky' EQ thread in the Main forum?

What version of EQ are you using and what operating system on your computer? I'm using Windows 2000 OS with EQ5. Frequently in order to get to things that I've 'definitely' added to my sketchbook I need to close down EQ and re-open that particular project to find them. If you're using different versions of either - I'm clueless! Good luck. Totally understand your frustration.

I am not using EQ -- Dear Jane is a stand alone software, so the audience is different than the normal EQ 7 & 8. I am on Windows 10. I was just hoping someone else had experienced this issue.....

I'm pretty sure Dear Jane is based on EQ5.

this is no help at all because I gave mine to a friend, but my Two Sides of Jane, DJ journal, and 'toid tins are in that software photos section I was quite honored to be asked. Would love to see your blocks, of all the hundreds of Janes, I've never seen a fabric that didn't suit!

Thank you thank you Dunster! I googled “EQ5 fabric already in sketchbook” and found an answer. I can’t wait to try it tomorrow.
