    Because my machine sews all the way through. For it to look the same on the top it has to be machine stitched. Doing something different to that one leaf will just stick out too much. If I rip it off nobody knows it was there in the first place.

    Great that you could get it off without it showing. Sometimes the simplest solution is the best. What did you use to fuse it with? I know I've tried to peel off Wonderunder before and that didn't work.

    It was Wonder Under but the background fabric is new, unwashed fabric and I hadn't steamed it yet.
