    I'm pretty good at color coordinating but sometimes not so good at visualizing so I lay the pieces of my quilt out and look at them with a design reducing glass. It's a magnifying glass that reduces, rather than enlarges, what you are looking at so you can view the entire quilt layout and spot any weird things going on.

    It's a pretty handy little gadget.

    I've never seen this tool. Great idea for quilters.

    You can also use a door peephole to do the same thing. (From DIY stores.)

    Never thought of that, but I've always griped because the peep hole made people so SMALL! Very good idea to reduce the pattern.

    I think these fell out of favor a while back - maybe the peepholes replaced them? I only paid $1.99 for mine, it was on clearance.
