    I used similar designs to make a small quilt for a boy. I cut out the squares and put a plain block with them to make my size.Pewee

    It depends on how big you want the finally quilt to be. Keep adding rounds around the ducks, lay out the ducks diagonally and put some "manly" fabric blocks between them for nice quilting spaces, mix in some applique blocks with ducks, fish, moose, etc....Whatever strikes your fancy.

    I'm thinking I would frame the 4 blocks individually with green or brown square them up and sew them together like a big 4 patch. Then I would keep putting alternating Bears Paw &/or Log Cabin &/or Flying Geese borders around until it reaches the size I want. If I was better at applique, I'd probably applique duck silhouettes scattered around in the borders.
