I also like the idea of something 2 sided. Great fabric and thoughtful husband.

How about the BACKING for a large quilt that you will make and keep for yourself? Any extra - and it seems you will have extra!!!! - can be used for some little areas within the quilt top! Good luck Aquarius.

I it woulod fit into your decor, make a bed quilt for your bed with it. He would see the results of his purchase for you, and you could back it with the yardage you have.

IMHO fussy cutting for star blocks seems like a good idea. If you don't really care for the pattern that much, a mariner's compass, or feathered star would be fitting for the zodiac theme.

Do you know any one in your family that is an aquarius?
You could make a quilt with pillow cases maybe.

Attic windows to mostly showcase the water carrier. Some to showcase the sun and other motifs. You have a wonderful husband!

Let me just say Kudos to DH! Mine has yet to make an online purchase---ever! Guess that's a good thing, I probably buy enough for both of us!

I am an Aquarius, and I'm thrilled knowing that it's on it's way.

I've got a TON of ideas from everyone - thanks!! I probably will make at least one pillow (already have the pillow form) so it's exciting.

How about something like an I spy, or Cathedrial window?
Think this would look neat if you were "looking out the window at the sky"...and then use what's left in the backing, even if you have to put squares of it with other fabrics.
Nice hubby! Mine just wishes I'd use some of mine!

    Aquarius fabric!!

And, not only that, but he said, "I don't know how much yardage goes into a big quilt, but I got you 8 yards. Hope that's enough."

So... what would you make with it??
