DH May Chain Me To My Machine!
#12
My DH already does the cooking - lucky me! In our last house, he would come down and turn the lights to the sewing room off when it was time to eat. Of course, I always had to tell him to turn them back on until I finished the seam I was sewing or pressing! I don't mind doing the laundry. It will be a good excuse to get up and move a little bit.

Oh how I feel for you not being able to sew for 5 months I wouldn't be able to stand it! However a wonderful sewing space is so worth it, And I would take him up on being chained to the sewing machine since that means he gets to do the cooking and the cleaning whiile you play all day!

I am really getting excited about moving into my studio. Maybe by tomorrow afternoon! I have done a little sewing on the kitchen table, but after years of having my own space, I don't like having to put the machine and stuff away every time I quite sewing. I'll try to send photos in the next few days.

Congratulations on your new studio and a handy husband who is willing to try. I got a new sewing studio this past spring and I had to pay someone to do the work. I was without my machines for 3 months and I really missed them but I love my new space.

I know exactly how you feel, we gutted a bedroom, it meant taking all my fabric, books, etc. out of that room until it was finished...It was a couple of months before I got back into it but it turned out lovely...new table, new lighting..it's just a joy to sew in that room now and you will enjoy yours once it's finished and be inspired....Happy sewing!!!!!
