    Thank you again, everyone for weighing in on my mystery! I am totally convinced now that this is indeed a variation on the Ohio Star. As I am a relative newbie to all the different names to blocks I just assumed when it was called an Ohio Star it was ... an Ohio Star.. I sure know different now!!

    Some blocks have several names.

    Some names hsve several different blocks assoccisted with them.

    Thst's why I find an illustation helpful.

    your center square is too big, there is to much space between in the center of each side.

    Yes, I do agree that center block is too large. As this is a tablerunner for myself and the block is constructed and everything is already cut I will continue on. However, I will be resizing that block for future usage,...using my handy dandy 'Quick & Easy Block Tool' chart.

    You can change the center block to a 4 patch and it will be great.
