I would love to have most of them back! Each are beautiful and individual to me, but I know they are loved where they are, so that's OK. Just be SURE to take lots of photos before they leave.

Maybe she would allow you to borrow it for a show. It is a great quilt and I see why you want it back. Yes, I'm finishing a quilt for a friend's retirement that I love, so I decided to make a smaller version for myself. The hardest part was tracking down the fabric--but I did it, thanks to www.quiltshops.com !

What a wonderful, artistic quilt you made--no wonder you want it back. I made a teacup quilt for my girlfriend's 65th b-day. We have been friends since 1st grade and I didn't want to give it away! But I bought more teacup fabric so I will make one for me --someday!!

Not me, at least not so far. By the time I'm done planning, buying, cutting, piecing, and fretting over a quilt I'm so sick of it that I could care less if I ever see it again. I guess my joy comes in the making. That probably explains why I've never made a quilt for myself. Someday maybe.

Agreed...as the others said, I can sure see why you would like it back, but I'm sure it is well loved where it is! I bet they would load it to you to show though.

I made my Grandmother a lap quilt..with pics of everyone in our family on it. When she passed..I have no idea who got it. It was a gift to her and I didn't expect to get it back, but sure would like to know who ended up with it!

All the quilts posted are beautiful! I especially love the cats. My sister would love one like that!

The ones I've given to loved ones who appreciate them and enjoy and use them, it's okay...I have pictures. But if I made one for someone I felt didn't appreciate the time and effort...I may not want to give it away. It's for that reason I haven't made a couple of folks one...I don't think it would be appreciated. I know other things I have made these people as gifts and what-not have not been used or have been misused (IMHO) so I don't bother putting a lot of "me" into their gifts anymore.
