I can top those!!! I made a quilt. promintently labeled. for a friend in the Altzheimer unit of a nursing home. It disappeared. One of the other residents "adopted" it. These things happen there. Then it got sticky. SHE, the one who took it, died and her family took it home. Now I understand the old lady taking it and not understanding but the family was 125% wrong. THEY stole it. It was NOT hers, never was ,never will be. My friend's daughter told the nursing home she wanted it back, pronto. She told them it was one thing for their mom to walk off with it but they clearly knew it was not hers. She told the nursing home administrator that it was handmade and valued at $500 making it grand larceny on their part. Boy was she mad! Needless to say it came back in two days. I was horrified that they thought they could keep what mama had taken
