Santa came early and brought me a new embroidery sewing machine. I have had my first 2 lessons already.

I was given one of my favorite gifts - money - to spend as I wish. The kids think it's easier so I can pick out exactly what I want. Especially with fabric or notions I'd rather pick them out myself, especially since neither my DD or DDIL quilt or even sew.

My dear husband gave me a blank check for the Bernina machine of my choice. I don't want the big embroidery model since I already have one and hardly use it. I have just wanted a Bernina for so long and after this weekend, I will have it!!

wow, some wonderful gifts it sounds like. Me, I ordered some stabilizer for my embroidery machine. My gift to myself so that I can make things for others as gifts. My DF did give me a nice GC at a LQS and a extra small sewing cabinet which I will enjoy. Now to give myself the ultimate gift.....the gift of time to play in my room! That one is hard to come by at times.

I got a used, red face Janome 7700! Also the 1/4" and Stitch in the Ditch foot for the Acufeed. I love it, I'm quilting a oversized queen quilt on it now, those extra inches are great.

I did find the ditch foot off, I had to move my needle over several clicks to get it to line up and I'm wondering if I got a wonky foot.

Fingers crossed I can get my 6600 sold soon.

I should really give myself the gift of time to quilt and craft. That's all I really need right now and it seems so scarce!

My daughter also complains that I have too much fabric but she went to Amish Country to the Amish store and bought me a total of 62 yards of fabric....She better never complain about me having too much fabric...LOL..

Since I used up several Christmas and birthday gifts a while back buying Pandora bracelets and charms, I have to have selective amnesia each time I buy myself another Christmas or birthday gift. But, I'm pretty good at that. So at this year's International Quilt Festival in Houston, I purchased a great little floor stand quilt frame. I have been coveting it since I saw it last year and my cousin bought one. It was either another sterling silver thimble, which I already had one, or this. So this won out. My wonderful husband pretends he doesn't know what I spend on me. That is a gift in itself.
