    I gave many quilty things to my 10 year old granddaughter. She has already made 2 award winning quilts. That was more fun than giving something quilty to myslef

    Not really an answer to your question, but why would your enabler daughter complain that YOU have too much fabric? I don't understand it as unless you are having to stash it in her room and encroach on her space, what difference does it make to her how much fabric you have?

    I went to joanns toy and bout about 20 yrds of Christmas fabric for 2/49 a yd. then to michaels with my 50% off coupons from joanns and got a 12 x12 ruler and a 8 x 8 ruler made out like a bandit!!!

    Santa always manages some quilt related purchases... Especially fabric at year end sale prices! Too much shopping for everyone else makes this Santa feel like a treat or two.

    I took my hubby to a quilt store and let him "gift me" with the small rotary cutting mat that is on the turn table and them I gifted myself with a couple of templates. I too prefer to select my own gifts if it has to do with quilting.
