Yesterday I went to JoAnn's, armed with a 40% off coupon! I needed some more bleached muslin for the Siggie swap I am participating in. I had gotten Moda muslin from my LQS before and found it nice. But I found Kona muslin at $6.99/yard at JoAnn's. I got 1 1/2 yards , got my 40% discount and happily went home! I washed it and noticed that it seems so much nicer than the Moda. It seems more densely woven, and presses much better. Has anyone else noticed this? And, not meaning to be weird but if I can get better quality and better price for Kona, I will keep going to JoAnn's for that fabric! I've also noticed that some of the pricier fabrics from LQS doesn't work as well (ravels and is not as "good" a quality as one should expect fro fabric costing $10 per yard!). Just curious if anyone has noticed this. Thanks

I love the Kona Muslin, as long as it's the one by Kaufman! If it doesn't say Kaufman, it's not the same. I think it's about 200 thread count, very smooth! It's the only Kaufman Fabric I've seen at my local Joann's.

The other Kona solids that Joann's carries is not by Kaufman. They aren't nearly as nice as what you can get at the quilt shop.

I buy it too, especially with those 40 percent off coupons. It feels like great quality stuff to me, but I'm NOT an expert. I cant wait to see what others say!

I love the kona cotton. Such a great feel. It's easy to work with.

I hate to be dumb, but what is a 'Siggie'?
