    I was using a universal needle, 80 and 90. I will have to try a sharp. I don't have any on hand but will look for them the next time I shop. I always just reach for universal or jeans if I'm working in denim so will have to spread my needle wings and venture out. Thanks for the tip.

    After having a similar problem and watching a Superior Thread video. I now us top stitch needles which are very sharp and have a larger eye. You might want to try the top stitch when you try new needles.
