I usually print one copy for use and notations and save the original on my computer because I frequently misplace my printed pattern.

I print out my digital patterns all the time. Any pattern I save on the PC whether purchased or free, if it comes up html or whatever the letters are I right click or ctrl, shift, P and save it as a PDF file. I use a free program called "cutePDF writer and its worked fine for me.

I print out epatterns frequently without problems. Just follow the instructions given. All that I have seen are good, they really want you to be able to use their patterns. Usually they ask for print to actual size, no scaling and then give a sample to measure after you print to make sure before you start cutting.

I also download to my iPad or kindle. I can print if I want but usually only print appliqué pieces as printing everything uses so much ink. Also having in the cloud saves on storage. Wish I could scan all my old paper patterns into a tablet and not have all the binders taking up space on my shelves.

That is the reason for the e patterns...you print them so they do not have to, besides it lowers the price...we hope.
    happy quilting.

Cloud storage...isn't there a limit as too how much storage you have there? I really need to take an updated computer course!

I do it all the time. Make sure you chose to print to actual size so that its accurate but yes, they are made to print.

Any pattern I download I save in an approprietly named folder and print it out if planning to use it soon. Also all the instructions and pattern I get from my classes with Craftsy. I print them and store in a folder with the name of the class. Makes findong what I want realy easy.
