    Default Disappearing 9-Patch

Good Morning - Help! someone please point me to the pattern and/or directions to make the disappearing 9-patch that is currently the cover photo on the QB Facebook page. I love the sashing around each block that forms a star and have not been able to find directions for it. Thanks so much!

    Mary

Maybe do a dearch on this board or look in the tutorial section. I made one, don't remember where I got the pattern. I sewed 5" strips together, like a regular nine patch, then cut up/down in half then cut side to side in half, then arrange them to your liking. sew together into blocks and sew the blocks together. I sewed borders on mine. It is in the gallery section on here. Very simple and easy.

I studied the picture. It is a DP. It is sashed with dark and a white square cornerstone. You would add two triangles on the end of each sashing piece (flying geese) to create the star look.

Cut the sashing piece the same length as the DP square. Cut the cornerstone square the same demention as the width of the sashing. Cut the small squares to make the flying geese ends one half the demention of the width of the sash.

I hope I described it so you can understand the construction and sizes to cut.

I just went there and discovered that our names and a link to "friend" us is also part of the QB FB page. Not everyone is going to like this. I'm also curious about who chooses "quilt of the day" when we post photos.

Are you telling me that my name is on Facebook (QB) when I have tried with all my might to avoid that place?
