Disappearing nine patch question

I made one from a "kit" made up by one of the guilds. http://www.quiltingboard.com/main-f1...s-t162915.html

Good looking quilts.... I have been racking my brain to come up with a pattern for using 4 fabrics, with one being a medium size print focus pattern that I have had for years. I think I can adapt this method easily. Thanks

Thank you. It was super fast & easy. I started laying it out like a normal D9P but it was too plain. I got the idea for a the twisted version from a link someone posted on this board.
It is now my oldest grandson's big boy quilt. He graduated from a toddler bed to a twin bed and his baby quilt just didn't cut it any more.

I did most of the blocks while on vacation in the summer of 2010 using my old mechanical machine, Martelli Rotary Cutter, small cut & press board and 2 square rulers--6.5" and 12.5". Hubby & the kids fuss when I make them leave extra space to haul my mini, mobile quilt studio but they get over it--LOL.
