I like all of yours and what a different take with the triangles! I did a scrappy and it lost its affect. I like the center block to all be the same so the small squares make a pattern. Fun and fast!

those are awesome quilts, Love doing D9P! if you want only 3 colors, be sure your center block is the 'different color'

Ok, I didn't understand half of what you said you did, but this is one of the prettiest quilts I've ever seen! I LOVE the stars. Love the colors too, but the stars will jump out at you. I will reread your post until hopefully I can see what you are talking about. This is wonderful!

It was on this board where I got the idea to do a twisted version. Here's the link: http://www.quiltingboard.com/tutoria...al-t16190.html

I did mine more like this version: http://lynbrown.com/wp-content/uploa...Gen-Quilt2.pdf but I combined at least 4 regular D9P sub-units with the twisted sub-units to make each star and I purposefully made each star different. I like the secondary pattern that emerges when the center square in the original 9 patch unit is different than the corners as whinnytoo mentioned earlier.

I am going to try to attach a picture. If it works, it is of the d9p I just finished, with 3 fabrics.

Okay, if this works....IF....I have posted 2 pictures. If not....well, I tried. More to learn, I guess.
