I have practiced the Mary Ellen Hopkins theory of Personal Private Measurements.
What it means is: Get as close to 1/4" as you possibly can. As long as you are consistent, it will be okay.
So, at WOrkday at the Post, I have two or more different machines .. I have one volunteer who brings her own machine and we have gotten on swimmingly, until!
We were working on a Claudia Pitts (Claudia's Quilt Shop. com)
the difference popped up IMMEDIATELY! What I had been calling 1/4" and getting away with for YEARS ... was NOT 1/4", so the two of us couldn't make the pattern work, until I got myself in control <g>.
My! That 1/4" looks pretty slim <g> ... but, now we can work together, each on our own machines.
I am glad that you are finding your 1/4" and the accuracy you need ... <wave>
