I would try rearranging/turning some of the blocks. sometimes it just gives a different perspective and you like the project again.

I am going through the same thing. The lady at the LQS helped me pick out the fabric and I loved it while I was cutting it out. It is supposed to be a Christmas present for my DMIL. But now that I have 3 of the blocks finished, I am doubting that the colors coordinate at all!
I looked at your pics - I think it will make a pretty quilt! I do like the second one best, though. Let us know what you decide to do! Good luck!

That happens to me all the time. Unless, I absolutely hate it, I usually finish it and the recipient just raves on and on about how wonderful it is and how wonderful it is to receive it!

I think if you use the first color setting triangle and add a red border and then one of the florals. I think it has a lot of potential!!

huge hug. Trust me, I know what the feeling is like!

Personally, I like the one with the darker triangles, it adds some pop to the quilt.

What it probably is, you're "too close" to the quilt. It happens to me when I get sick of seeing something over and over again. Make the top, and let it sit a little while. It'll look better after a few days/weeks of not looking at it.

I have a couple of UFOs in my closet and I doubt that I'll ever get back to them. But, honestly I really like your layout. And I like the colors, too. Maybe you need to walk away from it for a day or two & then look at it with fresh eyes. Or you could just send it to me:)

The quilt itself is very pretty. Personally I do not like
the red. I think the triangles in the light would be fine,
but I'm thinking pick one of the darker colors in the quilt
to bind it. It will kinda frame the quilt.

I like the light top. I keep looking at it and it is quite pretty. And I'm only guessing here, you probably don't like how the bright pinks all come together seemingly in one place while all the other colors seem to be "scattered" around. You don't have to lay out a quilt exactly as the pattern is pictured. Try different arrangements if possible.

It's pretty but I agree with others, put it aside and come back to it at another time. I have alot of unfinished projects but will get to them at some point. Don't get discouraged, its all fun.

I've had LOTS of projects like that. I'd finish it up and give it to someone who loves it. (I can imagine you'd find a lot on this board alone!) I even had a project (a quilt just to take to the pool) that I put as many loud, unmatching stuff together and figured it would be so ugly no one would want to take it. It ended up being one of my favorite quilts! You never know.
