I think it's beautiful! Maybe it's the big chunks of like colors that are hitting you wrong... That bothers me with things sometimes.

There's always the option to give it away! I'm sure you can think of any number of people or charities that would love a quilt like that!

I actually like both pics...the 1st one a tad bit more...that being said, I usually have a few projects going at one time...just give myself a dead line to finish each one, and try and stick to it!! Breaks up the boredom, if I have any...and, I also agree with put it away for a bit, do something else, and when you come back to it you will have a fresh perspective...I also have had quilts that I thought were just plain ugly...but others think I am crazy...so, beauty is in the eye of the beholder...and I for one needed to lighten up and not be so matchy-matchy and rigid...good luck to you!

I really like the blocks and the fabric. I would turn some of the blocks so the larger square in the block is facing the same way as the others in the row.

I like both of them. What is missing is a border. The quilt will take on a whole new look when you put a border on it.

The other ladies are correct, if it's bothering you that much now, put it away for a while and then come back to it.

I like the first pic with the yellow triangles. I think it would really pop if you use that dark pink as the binding or a border.

That layout makes me uneasy. I would rearrange the blocks, maybe make it a little more symetrical. The large pieces of beautiful fabric are great but the layout doesn't let the eye focus on them. Does this make sense?

I like your quilt very much! In answer to your question, I like the lighter triangles around the edges best. Many of us (most) have UFO's hiding somewhere ! LOL! But, really, the quilt you are making is VERY pretty!!
Another thing I might change is the 4 brown squares. I think that I'd put them in the 4 corners to distribute that color more evenly.
Other than that, I really like it & think it deserves to be finished.:)

Just put it away for now; and someday you may go back to it and see it in a different light. Also could be a donation quilt for a sick child or something. I don't think it's that bad. Might consider just moving the different blocks around also. Something that will do the trick.

For goodness sake. Stop working on this quilt. Start fresh on another project. Let your sub-conscious work on the color problem with this one. Probably one day you will be looking at fabric in a store and think, "That piece will be a good part of the solution to that quilt problem." If not, then you may just divide the blocks according to color and put them into different projects. Whatever. When you don't like it and you KNOW you have a problem, stop. Sewing on the same thing with the same colors and blocks will NOT give you a different result. If you don't have a customer, a completion time, etc., then don't make yourself miserable. Be kind to yourself. Give yourself permission to let it rest and come back to it later. Move on. Life is to short to beat yourself up over fabric. Go sew something enjoyable.
