I find that I am always satisfied with Clover products. They have higher standards than Dritz. And the IBC (Imported by Clothilde) are also excellent. We are so concerned with getting the cheapest things, we are sacrificing quality. That's why everything is made in China. Americans won't support American workers who want a living wage, so we get what we pay for.

These are great pins. My Joann carries the blue pins by Clover that are even finer than the ones pictured here. They are thinner and bend easier, but they also don't make the fabric distort as much. It was one of the blue pins I sewed into my bobbin area! Bent it almost 180 degrees. Scared the everlovin snot out of me. I just knew my machine was in for hundreds of $$s of repairs, but it was only $15 for the part since it was still under warranty. Whew!

I have several different sets of pins - some were given to me, some I inherited, and some I purchased myself. I realized that the ones that slide easiest into the fabrics were labeled "nickel coated". Has anyone else noticed this?

I have run into that with the yellow flower pins. The ones at Joann are much sharper than the ones at Wally World

I had the same problem with them. I gave them to someone else. I did find some later that were much better.

I have the flat head pins and my worst problem is that they bend. I always intend to throw the bent ones away once I'm finished for the day but I always forget-with hounds roaming the house I don't want to throw them where they might get them. I find it uncanny that I ALWAYS go for the bent pins in the pincushion.
