I was auditioning fabrics today for a heart bargello. I took the little color dots on the selvedge of my focus fabric and used it to pull fabrics out of my stash. It was a great help. Hope this will be of use to someone starting a bargello.

Great tip! Thanks :) I've done that when I needed fabric that I didn't have in my stash and had to go to the LQS. It beats taking the whole piece with you.

I love doing Bargello. They are so much easier than they look and a lot of fun to do.

Great idea, not just for bargello, but for any quilt. I am "somewhat " color challenged, and this will help me alot. Thanks for sharing.
