I am looking for Amish quilt patterns. We just got back from our vacation to Etheridge, Tn. My mother has had a second or third attack of the quilting bug. She wants to make an Amish styled quilt. If you have already made one or more could you please either PM me the pics or post the pics to the pic post. All info will be much appreciated.

    Thank you all, Julie

jan - WOW love your quilts. Amish quilts are beautiful for sure. I was talking to one Amish lady about 15 years ago and watching her quilt. She said they never allow their quilts to hit the floor. I didn't think to ask her why - but I thought, boy am I in trouble, cause at that time I laid my quilts out on the floor instead of a design wall.

Google Rachael Pellman. She lives in the Pennsylvania Dutch Country-Lancaster County. She has a very nice presentation to guilds and many patterns/kits available for sale.

I have Rachel Pellman's book on how to make an Amish quilt. It is a terrific resource on the subject.

Jan those are great quilts. I'm making a quilt with a black background, but I didn't realize it was an amish thing...
