It depends. Some quilt patterns just seem to need warm colors and others just "scream" for cool colors. If I don't have a quilt in mind, though, I'm drawn to the cool colors.

Floral - big or small doesn't matter!

My favorites are greens and red but i go in spurts. Depends on the season too! Like right now I am drawn to all the fall colors! In the spring I tend to go towards lighter, brighter colors. But reds and greens and anything that screams "Christmas" i get! In fact my mother in law knows when she is out "estate" shopping - that's what we call garage sales! - if she sees christmas to buy it. Of course anything with steelers on it though too!

Blues! I'm trying to broaden my color selections, so I next look at greens and autumn colors.
Somehow, the fabrics in my stack at the register still seem to be blues.

My tastes seem to change like the weather, although I'm a pinkaholic always :D
I like most colors except orange, but even orange has its place- I found that out when I needed some for a cute project and couldn't find any lol
I have way too much blue in my stash- that used to be my favorite color but not anymore.
(with the exception of the blue in my avatar hee hee)

I love pinks and girlie colors. Problem is I live with a house full of men! I didn't have a daughter just boys. Maybe that explains it.
