I am wanting to take the time to learn to bind by machine. I bought a binding foot for my bernina and now I need to take the time to learn. That is easier said than sone. I have so many charity quilts and so little time fo ranything else.
I watched a video on utube that was so cool. And there is one gal who sends her donation with the most beautiful stitches to finish the quilt binding. I suppose someday.

That is the way I do it also. I really enjoy the hand sewing and I, too, like the fact that my quilt will be completed when I finish the binding and sewing on the label.

I hand stitched the back of my bindings but because of my joint issues, I recently bought the STITCH IN THE DITCH foot and it looks good enough for quick gifts, and i'll handstitch the backs if the quilt is for contest entries.

I do the same...and although I enjoy doing it this way, I want to try machine binding the entire quilt one of these time just because of the time savings.
