I do mine by machine. Stitch it to the back, then bring over to the front.

Machine sew the binding on, then sew it down by hand - always.

I hand sew the back after sewing the front on by machine. I did do one binding totally by machine and didn't like how it looked.

i love the look of hand bound quilts. but i have to admit to being in a hurry sometimes [a lot lately] and machine stitch them.

I machine stitch to the front and then hand sew to the back. I also enjoy the hand sewing of the binding. Tried doing all machine binding for some place mats but wasn't happy with the way they came out, but OK for placemats.

I've mostly machine stitched one side and hand stitched the other. I'd like to do it all by machine but I've often used kinda fluffy poly batting, and I can't quickly get things to stay put well enough to machine the 2nd side neatly -- easier to hand stitch it at that point.

I would just be happy to get some binding ON a quilt or table runner...LOL....I must have a mental block or something...I absolutely cannot get a binding on at all..

I machine stitch the front and hand stitch the back.

It is one of my most favorite parts of making a quilt. I feel that it is like putting a ribbon on a package.
