My husband would feel my forehead to see if I was sick if he didn't hear oohs and ahhs.

I read that totally differently. Like the woman said "Oh, stop that" in a jokey "awww shucks" way and the little boy took it to mean there is some kind of official rule that you aren't supposed to do that.

just tell him its ok to ahhh, that the lady's ahhdometer is about to go to 100,000 ahhhhs and she needs a tune up (I'd say a lube, but you dont want him to repeat that! to anyone) sharet

I got it that KarenR meant it was cute that her son thought you shouldn't oooh and ahh over quilts, and wanted to make sure his mom got it...but wasn't sure if the lady was grumpy, or playful....oh well, at least we know we here are pretty much an ooohahhhful group...pun intended...:-)

I oooh and awe over quilts all the time. I think it's a way to show you really like the quilt! Maybe the lady had a bad day???? lol!
P.S. I'm still gonna do it!
