In the privacy of my own home, I will so as I please. Actually, I am a "WHOA'ER" and a "WOW'ER". Can't help myself, I have not self-contol.

If she didn't want a reaction, then she should not have shown it. If I say nothing, then either I was not impressed or I just did not like it.

I love it when children interact with quilts. Some of us forget that we were once chilren. We need to encourage them when they are young so they will grow into considerate adults, not snarly spoiled adults.

I always ooooh and awe over quilts! Hope your little one continues to oooh and awe! That lady should have appreciated that a young one appreciated the quilt enough to oooh and awe. Too bad for her ... she's missing out on a lot!

ooooh and awe were words "invented" to describe quilts. They should only be used when observing quilts.

We got home and I was looking at pictures on the Quilting Board and apparently was awe and oh outloud - He came and and said "Mom you are not suppose to awe and ooh over quilts!"

How many awe and oh outloud when they see something they like?
Just had to share this funny with you.
Well, I guess she would have kicked me out then, because that's just an automatic response for me!

Same here. What was wrong with that lady??? She shouldn't be allowed near quilts. Quick! Call the quilt police and take her away.

Always! Funny story...our church administrator who is a 40-ish guy, attended our last church baby shower. We teasingly told him guys were welcome only if they ohhd and ahhd. David, bless his good- natured soul, ohhd and ahhd with the best of us, especially over the handmade binkies, quilts and afghans. We were so tickled at him!
