I have made many table runners for my MIL. She uses all of them. She has a beautiful dinner room set and changes the runner ever few days. I love making them for her because she appreciates them so much.

I use them all of the time. I have them on all of our dressers, the dining room table and on top of our tv stand.

I have hardly used the table runners I have. I do use placemats all the time on the kitchen table and even on the patio table. I keep a table cloth on the dining room table all the time as well.

I use mine on the dining table always. Change them often to add a spark of color or pattern. Some I have matching place mats, some not. I think they are fun

The trick is to make sure you give them to people who would use them. I never wear jewelry, expect my wedding ring and a watch (is a watch considered jewelry?? It does have diamonds and mother of pearl but its not fancy) Anyway, a gift of jewelry would be wasted on me. I would admire it but probably forget to wear it. But a table topper I would use because I like to dress my table for holidays...

I use them all the time, on both the kitchen and dining tables and on the coffee table.

No...but I probably should. We use tablecloths for visitors, glass placemats for everyday, weirdly I insist on freshly ironed good quality napkins all the time.
