I think I would enjoy making table runners, however, I have 2 that were gifts that I have never used on my table. They just don't come out at the holiday time they are meant for.
I don't want to spend my time making something that would not be used by others if I gave them away. Thus my question: Do any of you actually use table runners on your tables on a day to day basis? Or even for special holidays or seasonally??

I use them on my coffee table, and at holidays on the kitchen table!

Just want to add, I do not use placemats, tablecloths, etc. either. Guess I'm just a bare wood kinda gal. LOL

I do use them. Sometimes I put them on the coffee table and then add some nice jar candles.

My sister has a HUGE island in her kitchen and the middle always has a table runner on it!! As for me, no island, just a large bar type counter, I do use one on holidays.

Oh good idea, but I don't even have a coffee table. I like the open look not having one gives. We have endtables instead.
