I always wash and iron. I haven't used starch but I think I should try it.

Starching/sizing the fabric before cutting is helpful if working with pieces that have a lot of bias edges. Seems to minimize stretching and fraying,

But I don't usually remember to do that.

I always press my fabric, but haven't used starch unless I was working with bias pieces. I think I will use more starch!

No I rarely iron, and sometimes I regret it. Once in a while, I really need to though.

I usually don't wash my fabric first so I don't iron it.

I don't prewash and iron according to wrinkle factor but I will probably start ironing first after reading this.

I rarely wash first, I really like the way the quilts look after piecing, quilting, and then washing. But I ALWAYS iron and starch, iron and starch before cutting and piecing. It is much smoother to cut and to sew.

    Hugs,

Yes, I wash and iron them all. I don't mind doing it, but regret not having a larger ironing surface. That's high on my "Things I need to get or make" list.

I iron. and ususally since I dont get to cut everything all at once, I end up ironing as i cut...You know, iron then cut one "complimentary" fabric at a time or something. Needless to say, I usually am really slow about making things but....when i have all day, i really get to getting!!! Wish I could have more "all day" days but, we gots to pay the bills, lol.
