Remember to note that there is a new revolution of sorts beginning - Small Business Saturdays. The new tradition of the Saturday after Thanksgiving has been designated to encourage shoppers to go to the small businesses with their Christmas money. Small businesses suffer the most when the economy goes bust. Help the guy (or gal) who works the hardest for the least!

Isn't that the truth? DH always says "it's a shame when no one will allow you to pay full price" :-)

A few years ago my Mom decided to do some shopping on black friday and wanted me to go with her. Being the good daughter that I am, I agreed. NEVER again! We now refer to black friday as "running with the bulls". I do have to mention, we did have alot of fun. However, I'm not anxious to do it again.

I buy fabric online regardless of the day!

I also go grocery shopping on the day after Thanksgiving. Everybody else is too full of food and too interested in 'sales' at the mall to bother with the grocery store.

I usually don't go out on that day either because of the crowds. I ventured out last year, but it was around 5:00PM - everyone was "shopped out" and had gone home for dinner I guess. It wasn't crowded at all. Maybe they were all standing in line at Joann's. LOL

I will be safely tucked away at home on Black Friday. Perhaps a bit of on-line shopping, but avoiding the crowds.

This year I will be working. Normally, I stay home and put up my tree!

Okay- I'm going to admit it. I plan on being out on Black Friday for two things. One is a shop vac at 75% off and the other is a $5.00 toy - for a toy exchange at school.
I also saw JoAnn was having a special for the first 100 customers. Maybe I'll stop there after the vac and toy.
I usually get my slippers on this day - but have not seen them advertised this year.

I wish I had a quilting store having a sale - I'd forget about the vac and toy and just look.
