Yes when it is on sale or I have a coupon. Lately though if I find fabric thjat I like I also get another piece that matches.

I'd like to say, "absolutely not." But I would be lying. I will say that 80% of my stash was purchased for a specific project in mind.
Justamom410, I love the middle diagonal stripe fabrics. Also the butterflies. Can I come shop in your stash?

Yup, if I find fabric that I love and just can't live without, its going in my cart. I figure something out for it later.

    Hah, ALL the time.

The girls at Joann's often ask me what I'm working on...most of the time my answer is, "Not sure yet! The fabric will tell me what it wants to be later, after it's met all its new siblings."

I like having a big enough stash that, when I get an idea, I have at least half of what I need on hand. Then I love shopping for the other half! LOL

Most of the fabric I have is just because it spoke to me. That is why I have pretty much banned myself from all fabric stores. My stash has gotten out of control. I have made my last 4 quilts almost completely from my stash. This includes the backs. I have been piecing my backs. I try to use the scraps of fabric from the quilt then add stuff from my stash. I did get a ton of fabric from yard sales, but still there is too much.
