What is Best Press? Never heard of it. I dry iron but now I will get a spray bottle for water.

Of my 3 irons, my favorite for pressing as I piece is an old iron (circa 1945) that I found in a thrift store several years ago. It weighs a ton, but does a beautiful job. With steam, I tend to iron rather than "press" - not so with the heavy dry iron, it's all I can do to lift it up and down LOL
PS Steam tends to distort the fabric if you're not careful when pressing/ironing.

Always steam, but not really too hot.

Best Press is by Mary Ellen's and they call it the clear starch alternative. You spray it on the fabric and it helps remove wrinkles, helps make ironing smoother, doesn't leave flakes. I get it at my LQS or JoAnn's.

When I am quilting I use dry iron, but when I am making outfits, I use ALOT of steam.

I use steam so my seams will lay smoother. Just being careful not to pull or stretch the fabric.

I always use steam. Seams like the seams press better.
