Do you ever not want to cut the fabric up.

Yes, lots of my fabrics just get taken out and admired because if I cut them......I won't have them any more. Makes sense to me. Just this week I finished my first-ever batik quilt using fabrics I've had for several years. It was time. BTW, I did exactly the same thing with Betty Boop (cowgirl) fabric that "azdesertrat" did. Added some borders, quilted around each Betty motif, and she became an instant whole cloth quilt.

I run into this all the time!:))I sometimes use the fabrics for decorating, espec around holidays. If it is a whole line I can't live w/o...I then will find a big block quilt. One that really shows off the fabric in larger squares or rectangles. We all love our fabrics! Skeat

I know what you mean...
Maybe... Make large alternating squares to go with some equally beautiful patchwork. Or fold it up, put it on a shelf and fondle it once in a while because it makes you happy. Maybe you need the right inspiration.
I don't really know what to do... I have this problem every time. Sometimes I have the wrestle with myself to make the first cut, or build up excitement over the completed project.

Have you ever completed a quilt around one central block and just added borders?
