Do you give the quilts right away, or keep them for a while to look at??

I take a picture of all my quilts and some pictures during the process but I don't give away many. I have made some for close family members and that is it! I have all these quilts but don't just give them away. I put them out at different times and enjoy them. I'm hesitant to just give them out. I guess you can say I sort of hoard them.

I agree. I quilt with my cup of coffee to wake up.
I do other stuff. I try to quilt early afternoon for about an hour. I do other stuff. I try to quilt till early morning hours .... 1AM or 2AM. Some days it doesn't work to get any quilting into my day, but most days I can chip away at a project, and within a reasonable amount of time I am putting the binding on my fabulous quilt project. So fun!!

The ones that are given away (in my case, most of them) hang around for a week or two while I'm getting ready to package it up and mail it, waiting for the event day, etc. Then they are on their intended way.
To me, they're kind of like kiddos - you nurture them, make them as good as you can, send them on, and carry their picture in your brag book. Now and then you get to spend some time with them again which is especially nice if it's been a while.

I seem to work better with time restraints, That and procrastion being my middle name. SO I have no choice but, to give it away immediately I have done that so many times that I didnt get to take a picture first

I have to admit that more than a few left and I did miss them. I also love to go to someone's home and see the quilt or cross stitch I made them right out in a place of honor, like the couch.

Hi, new one here. I have to admit it, I keep my quilts, well OK I have given a few to family members, Mom, and the boys! I have always had a passion for quilts and never had anyone make me one, so I make them for myself. It is probably selfish, but I am just starting and really love having them around.

I have given all my quilts away. I would really like to do one just form me; in fact I think I will put that on my to do list. LOL. I do take pictures of all of them and try to get pictures with the recipient and the quilt and maybe even where they use it. It's fun to know they all have a good home.
