Like I said earlier I usually give most all mine away, but we were having company back in November, and I had the top already pieced, just not quilted, so I quilted it up so it would be fresh on their bed......but it was for me.....me.....me......I love the quilt! So sometimes, we just have to do one for us. Hubby too!

Yeah. I have a problem with that, too. I love all the quilts I work on, whether I made, just quilted them or helped someone put binding on. If I can, I keep them at least a few days to show off to others. I think ALL quilts are a work of art, no matter what they look like.

I made a quilt for my sister last year (commissioned by my BIL as a Christmas surprise). I loved that quilt so much I didn't sleep for a week after I sent it to her in another state. (I know this sounds prideful, but it is not meant to sound like that) It was so beautiful on my bed, I absolutely hated to part with it! My sister claims to love the quilt, so that is some comfort, but still...

Right away. I am so excited thinking about giving it to the person it is destined for that I just have to let it fly.

As has been mentioned, I also take pictures and keep them in an album. When I finish a quilt, I usually hang it up on my design wall for a few days or a week to admire it before I fold it up and send it off. I just finished longarm quilting a charity quilt last night, on which I did a lot of small custom-type work. It was a practice quilt, but it looks so good I don't want to give it away now. But I have no need for it, so I will hang it up and admire it awhile before I take it to guild. Sigh.

Me too! I made one for Christmas and finished the day before. I'm making one right now for my brother and has to be done by Friday evening. I'm sure I will be finishing up Friday morning/afternoon! LOL

    Your quilt really is pretty.
I have learned to take a picture of the ones I finish before I give it away. There are just a couple here that haven't found a home yet.
