Well of course I hide things - that is a given :D :D

If I do come home with fabric he will say something like - "More Fabric??" I just smile and say YEP!! But I usually leave things in my car until he leaves the house or goes to bed then bring them in. There is method to my madness!!!!

What he doesn't know won't hurt him!!

Actually I do hide some of my puchases. My husband doesn't have any hobbies and sometimes I feel a little guilty with some purchases. He doesn't understand "hobby", it's not in his dna unfortunately.

Mine doesn't say much unless I get a little carried away. We are snowbirds so he knows that fabric is a lot cheaper in the states than in Canada. He can tell how much I spent as he balances the bank.

But I work so he really can't say anything. I never stop him from buying what he wants.

Nope, I don't. trust is trust for us. I don't hide what I buy and I encourage him in his habits. He encourages me in mine. And my New Year's eve resolutions for last year and this year are to reduce the stash. Even he sees the decrease which is saying a lot!

Actually, NO! My DH says if he could get wood at sale prices like I get fabric, he would have a stash like mine too. He is totally supportive and, in fact, will buy things when I am holding back just to make sure I don't miss out. Can't beat that! He's a real keeper, believe me - 48 years now!

Read this to my DH and he said "Little old ladies can do that. they have to get up in the middle of the night to "go" anyway." Yipes! Don't be to hard on him, Ladies. He helps find my fabric at the LQS sometimes. LOL

My husband laughs when I feel guilty about buying fabric! He's great, but my small quilt group is another matter! They put me on fabric restriction! I love choosing fabrics we can use for our charity quilts, so I buy stuff and sneak it into our storage cabinet when nobody is around. I consider it my donation to a very worthy cause and I still get to play with all that beautiful yardage! Don't tell them but I discovered www.stitch-n-frame.net with very reasonable prices for name brands, so i'm going to have to find room for 20 lbs. of fabric in our cabinet! Not affiliated, just a very happy customer!
