No hiding for me either. My husband encourages me by planning quilt shop stops when we go on an excursion or a drive.

Exactly, just like he doesn't hide things from me. We may not mention something purchased but it isn't hidden. If something is hidden what else is being kept secret?

If my budget couldn't afford it I wouldn't be buying it, if my budget can afford it there is no reason to be hiding it. My husband accepts my being a quilter. We do not hide things from one another.

I don't hide anything, my husband just isn't interested when I do show him, so I very rarely show him anything unless I think it is ultra cute fabric. A couple years ago I started putting my fabric on comic book boards and buying plastic storage boxes to put them in so they stand up - I was the one totally amazed on how much fabric I have. A friend of my daughter asked me if I go to Joann's for fabric every time I get a 40% off coupon, told her not unless I need something now, I have way too much fabric. And I have a lot less than many people on this site.

No, I don't hide anything from dh. Usually if I am going to a quilt retreat or to visit a friend out of town, he expects me to bring home more fabric. I always show him what I bought and he always says how pretty. He has a fishing hobby and used to race 4-wheelers every weekend and trust me he spent way more than me.

I don't hide it. In fact, DH is somewhat of an enabler when it comes to my fabric and other quilting purchases. But then I don't complain about all his power tool and camera purchases.

I don't hide my fabric either. My husband is actually disappointed if I have visited a quilt shop and come home with nothing. This thread reminds me of a friend who used to hide new shoes at my house so her husband wouldn't know she bought them. Funny. Old memory.

I don't hide it! Sometimes a package will arrive when I am not at home. He simply brings it in and then later asks, "You must be working on a new project, huh?" He has his own hobby so we understand each other.

I try to show my spouse what I've purchased, as I am so excited about the new fabrics. He can barely keep his eyes open. So, no hiding. However, I don't tell him that x-amount of money spent at the LQS is how I get the occasional gift certificate from them. Why bore him with math. : )

I never hide fabric but I do hide sweets. Any cookies, candy, cake, etc that he sees he eats it all as fast as he can. Silly man has an addiction to sugar & he just can't help himself so I do hide a stash of chocolate occasionally.

Don't hide fabric - he doesn't care what I buy.
