Same here, but then I could have written most of these responses. I usually can't wait to fold the fabrics my way, tuck the receipt into the receipt drawer I have, and place the neatly folded yardage in the coordinated stack on one of the 16 shelves behind the 8 cabinet doors. Every notion, stabilizer, spool of thread, and accessory gets put in the appropriate drawer or on a shelf in one of 2 large closets.
So maybe I do indeed hide them. Just not from a supportive, enabling DH.

My passion is making quilts. My DH is making over the huge upstairs MBR into a huge Quilt Room/Master Bathroom to get my stash and quilting supplies out of the other two rooms and hallway!

My DH has a boat. AKA a hole in the ocean into which you throw money.

    Need I say more?

I am past hiding my fabric because everywhere you turn you are likely to bump into it. Like NikkiLu, I don't flaunt it either. I am someone who needs a place for everything, so I think my DH decided to let me do as I please until I just don't have a place for the next purchase. Little did he know just how creative I am!!!

I have never understood this hiding stuff! I know women who hide material, clothes, crafting stuff, etc. What I've never understood is the why, unless it wasn't your money to spend or you chronically overspend for your household and you're ashamed?

I don't hide anything. I love showing hubby my fabric, sometimes he comes up with combinations I wouldn't. I don't spend money that would pay for food or bills, so he doesn't care what I do with "my" cash. We each take a little each week to do with as we want! He spends his on buying me flowers!! Not all the time but now & again.

I don't hide my fabric. He knows it's there and doesn't say a word about it.....it would do him any good if he did.

    I thought b o a t stood for Break Out Another Thousand.... ;-)

I no longer hide my fabric purchases, but... here's funny story. It was a hot May day long ago and, being very pregnant, I didn't want to take my fabric to the attic, where I kept my stash at the time. So....I see my packed suitcase ready to go to the hospital. Aha! I tucked it in there to deal with it tomorrow or whenever. You guessed it: I went into labor that night and had to open the suitcase and remove the fabric in front of my husband. He never said one word!! (What could he say?) That child just celebrated his 40th birthday!! I DO buy too much but don't hide it any more.

No. I don't hide any of my quilting/embroidery purchases. I have a monthly budget that I've set for myself, though.
