I always intended to journal my quilts but as far as I've got is a pile of pictures on a shelf in the sewing room along with a pile of notes where I figured out layouts, fabric requirements, etc. all in one jumbled mess. (don't do that on the computer yet). At least I've been taking pics for the last few years.

Appreciate the tips. Glad to hear I'm not the only one having difficulty getting motivated to do this..

Great topic, and makes me think that I'd like to create a photo binder with pics of each project. Right now, I do take pictures of them all, so that would be a big step in moving forward with creating the record of it all. Thanks for the idea, I need to make it happen now. :)

I use a 3 ring binder, fill out the attached form, staple or tape small pieces of each fabric at the bottom of the page & slip it into a protective sleeve along with a photo.

That's great Betty K. Looks like you've got all the vitals covered. Perhaps I've been making it too complicated in my mind, thinking I was needing to write paragraphs, when I could just make a list similar to yours. I'm a great list person. I live by lists. LOL Don't know why that one hadn't occurred to me. Thanks for the ideas . . . I'm beginning to feel more motivated and less intimidated by this task.
