    I don't change the needle after every project but I do ever so often. It just depends on what I've been sewing.

    When I'm done with it, I wrap it in something before throwing it away. That way I don't have to worry about being poked when I take out the trash.

    I don't put a new needle in for each new project. Call me cheap. I will sew on it until I hear the needle is dull or until stitches are not just right. I do sometimes change it if I have sewed a couple of full days on it. I do put them in a pill bottle for disposal.
